The TCKB process

Before We Meet

Save those magazine clippings! Save those sketches on the backs of your napkin! Before we sit down to talk about your ideas, it’s always helpful if you can find pictures and drawings that represent what it is that you are hoping to get out of your remodel.

1st Meeting

When we first meet, we’re going to sit down with you and discuss your ideas and also take the time to inspect the space that you would like remodeled. It’s very difficult to pinpoint an exact estimate based on a one-hour discussion. Instead, we’re going to use the time to try and get to know you and to gain an appreciation for what it is that you want out of your remodel.

We’ll talk about your budget so that we can leave the meeting and build a plan for your remodel that works within that budget. We’ll discuss fixtures and finishes, and we’ll look around other parts of the house to see how the plumbing, electric, and structural support are currently laid out so that we can plan accordingly.

2nd Meeting

After allowing a few days for our design team to work up an initial plan for your remodel, we’ll come back to you and share our ideas. We’ll talk more specifically about the details of your plan, and we’ll show you how things can work within your budget.

From here, if you’re interested, we’ll go over all of TCKB’s licensing and insurance paperwork, so that you can be confidant of the team that you choose to hire. As we finalize plans for your remodel, we’ll agree to a general construction contract.

Our team will handle all of the permitting issues, and will maintain open communication with you throughout the entire process. And before the first swing of the hammer, we’ll go over all of the details with you. We’ll review the faucets and plumbing, the lighting and the electrical, the paint and carpet colors, and all of the other details that go in to providing you with the remodel that you’ve always wanted.

Having construction in your home can be an exciting and nerve-racking experience. TCKB is always available to answer any questions or concerns that you may have. We want you to not only feel comfortable with our work, but to enjoy the process knowing that everything is being taken care of.
